Submitting
an Initial Application To enroll in the program and become a Project Sponsor, interested parties must submit both an Initial Application and a Final Application. The Initial Application requires less detailed project information than the Final Application, and it allows applicants to reserve funding for a limited time. The Initial Application requests the following:
Applications should be sent to the AEP operating company that services the customer facility; they are reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis until all incentive funding is committed. Once AEP provides feedback on the project and reserves funding for the expected incentive payment (typically, within 15 business days), the applicant can begin to work out the details of the project, which are required in the Final Application. The Final Application must be submitted within 15 business days of the Initial Application's approval; otherwise, AEP may release the funds that had been reserved for the project. The Initial Application can be accessed from the Project Sponsor Forms section of this site. |
