Who's Eligible?

Residential and small commercial customers are eligible for rebates if the qualifying ENERGY STAR® units are installed at an address that receives electrical service from SWEPCO. Small commercial entities must have a maximum peak electric demand less than 100 kW.

Getting your Rebate

  1. Educate yourself. While replacing cooling and heating units can save money on your electric bill, they can be significant purchases. We suggest you visit the ENERGY STAR® Heating and Cooling website to learn more about how you can reduce your energy costs through efficient cooling and heating. From the resources available you can learn how to work with a contractor, ask the right questions, and discover what a more energy efficient unit can do for your home.

  2. Purchase and install a qualifying ENERGY STAR unit from a Participating Contractor.

  3. Read and agree to the program Terms and Conditions.

  4. Claim your rebate. Mail-in rebate form must be submitted within 30 days of purchase. Completely fill out the rebate form. Your participating contractor will complete a section of the rebate form and provide energy efficiency documentation.

  5. Enjoy your rebate and energy savings. Rebate will be mailed within 30 days of receipt of form.
